These pictures represent the Dorothy that I remember... beautiful, generous, selfless, considerate, centered, interested, loving, devout, talented, charitable, educated, intelligent. She was a wonderful sister, a loving mother and grandmother and always put family first. I remember her many times saying "charity begins at home." She lived this more than anyone I know.
This picture was taken with daughter Cammie to her left. Dorothy was cropped out in the editing.
This picture was taken at a family reunion at Menucha (Oregon). We were eating in the dining room. Dorothy loved this place but it was probably mostly because our family had a good time there and it was a great place to gather for a few days. We usually arrived on a Thursday and left on a Sunday. The grounds were beautiful and there was much to do for a competitive family. We were often told that we were one of the nicest families that came to the retreat.
The two pictures above were taken at one of her favorite places - Menucha. She loved it here because she spent much of her time here with family who were always her top priority. The top one was cropped from the group table one below and is one of my favorites
Dorothy on the job.
